§ 17-31. Reports on matters referred to commission.

The city council may by resolution provide for the reference of any matter or class of matters to the planning commission before final action thereon by the public body or officer having final authority thereon, with the provision that final action thereon shall not be taken until the planning commission has submitted its report thereon or has had a reasonable time, to be fixed in the resolution, to submit the report.
