§ 22-43. Duties of permittee; permit to be carried.

  • (a)

    A permittee shall comply with all permit directions and conditions and with all applicable laws and ordinances.

    (b)

    The parade chairperson or other person heading or leading such activity shall carry the parade permit upon his person during the conduct of the parade.

    (c)

    The chairperson or other person heading or leading such activity shall remain at the point of termination of all such permitted events until the last participant arrives at the point of termination.

    (d)

    The permittee shall notify each participant or group that the scattering, broadcasting, projecting, throwing of objects, edible items, printed materials or any other items, by parade participants, by hand or any other means, is prohibited. Participants may personally hand items to others along the parade route. The permittee may be denied any future permit, for any such violations, provided that the permittee has been warned of such penalties.

    (e)

    The permittee shall be required to sign a statement stating that the permittee is aware of all the conditions and penalties for non-compliance, upon making application for a parade permit. A copy of the permit application, required changes; if any, and the statement of compliance shall be maintained by the city manager or his designee.
