Article XVII. OFF-STREET PARKING AND SERVICE REQUIREMENTS |
§ 17.8. Parking of business vehicles in a residential district or use.
The parking of a business vehicle in a residential zoning district or use shall be allowed under the following conditions:
A.
Business vehicles of four (4) tons or greater empty weight or having a carrying capacity of more than one and one-half (1½) tons shall not be stored or parked in any residential district overnight or on Saturdays or Sundays (excludes all twenty-four-hour on-call emergency tow trucks, except tandem rig type tow trucks).
B.
Twenty-four-hour on-call emergency tow trucks (excluding tandem rig type tow trucks) shall be allowed to be parked in residential districts provided such vehicles are parked in a side or rear yard only, on an all-weather surface, the operator does not unload vehicles on the property, the tow truck does not have a vehicle in tow while parked, and the presence of the tow truck does not create a nuisance to neighboring residential properties.
C.
No more than two (2) commercial vehicles shall be parked on any single residential lot, or on any lot in any residentially zoned lot. Commercial vehicles may not be parked on any residential lot without an occupied single-family dwelling, and may not be parked on vacant residential lots.
