§ 2-130. Processing fees for credit/debit cards transactions.
(a)
Except as specifically provided for in the City of Cartersville Code of Ordinances, the following fees shall be assessed to customers when a credit/debit card is used to pay for any city service.
(b)
Fees.
(1)
Garbage: Three dollars and ninety-five cents ($3.95) per transaction.
(2)
Municipal court fines.
a.
Four (4) percent per fine in person;
b.
Five (5) percent per fine for phone or online payments, per transaction.
(3)
Recreation department. All fees paid either by credit/debit card and/or online, transaction fees are as follows:
a.
7.0298 percent + one dollar ($1.00) for all fees between one cent ($0.01) and one hundred forty-nine dollars and ninety-nine cents ($149.99);
b.
3.7853 percent + five dollars and fifty cents ($5.50) for all fees between one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) and four hundred ninety-nine dollars and ninety-nine cents ($499.99); and
c.
2.7038 percent + ten dollars and fifty cents ($10.50) for all fees over five hundred dollars ($500.00).
(4)
For all other payments via credit/debit cards.
a.
Three dollars and ninety-five cents ($3.95) per transaction.
