§ 5-26. Dangerous or vicious animals other than dogs.

  • The provisions of sections 5-22 to 5-25 may be applied to animals other than dogs. Animals may be classified as dangerous or vicious. In the event a hearing is requested, the hearing shall be to determine if the animal shall be destroyed or if there is any other option to spare the animal's life. Any such option shall require restrictions at least as severe as the restrictions on a dangerous dog, and shall prevent the public from any contact with the animal, such as donation to a zoo.
