Chapter 10. LICENSES, TAXATION AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS REGULATIONS |
Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 10-2. Required identification information with applications submitted pursuant to this chapter.
(a)
The following identification items may be requested by the planning and development department prior to an application being filed for all licenses issued pursuant to this chapter:
(1)
Naturalization documents, or valid passport, or birth certificate, or
(2)
Valid driver's license, or valid state identification card, or
(3)
Social Security card, or work visa.
(4)
Corporations and limited liability companies, or other State of Georgia registered entities shall only be required to produce their certificate of authority or license to transact business in the State of Georgia.
(b)
For renewals of licenses the information does not need to be resubmitted unless there have been changes.
(c)
The Cartersville Police Department, if requested by the planning and development department, shall issue a background check and/or verify that all information is correct.
(d)
This section does not apply to attorneys at law engaged in the practice of law as defined by the State of Georgia.
