§ 21-63. Inspections.

  • (a)

    At least once a month, and as directed by the public works director, the public works director or designee shall inspect each container subject to this article for the following:

    (1)

    Compliance with this article;

    (2)

    Appropriate container size;

    (3)

    Dumpster securely covered;

    (4)

    Materials properly containerized;

    (5)

    Excess trash;

    (6)

    Condition of container;

    (7)

    Litter;

    (8)

    Visual screen;

    (9)

    Container plugged;

    (10)

    Container identification;

    (11)

    Materials disposed of in said container are legally acceptable at landfill;

    (12)

    Container appearance;

    (13)

    All other matters as requested by the public works director.

    (b)

    If a violation is found, a copy of the inspection report shall be provided by certified mail to the hauler, who shall have ten (10) days to correct any problems or violations. All reports shall be maintained by the public works department for a period of three (3) years.
