§ 23-17. Monuments.

  • Monuments shall be placed by the subdivider at all subdivision boundary lots, block corners, angle points, points of curves in streets, and at such intermediate points as shall be required by the city engineer or other appropriate city official, and shall meet the following specifications:

    (1)

    Boundary monuments shall be concrete posts at least four (4) inches in diameter or four (4) inches square and three (3) feet long. They shall be set flush with the ground surface or six (6) inches above the ground surface. The top of the monument shall have an indented cross to identify the location.

    (2)

    Other monuments shall be iron pins not less than twelve (12) inches long and one-half (½) diameter set flush with the ground surface.
