§ 5-25. Violations.

(a)

The owner of a previously classified dog who violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and be subject to minimum fines of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for a first offense and five hundred dollars ($500.00) for subsequent offenses.

(b)

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 4-8-29, an owner with a previous conviction for violation of the classified dog provisions whose classified dog causes serious injury may be charged with a felony.
