§ 12-62. Prohibitions; exception.

  • (a)

    No person shall park a vehicle upon any roadway for:

    (1)

    Displaying it for sale.

    (2)

    Greasing or repairing it except for repairs necessitated by sudden emergency; in such emergency such vehicles shall be moved or towed away with all due haste.

    (3)

    Displaying advertising.

    (b)

    The parking of vehicles shall be prohibited in the designated parking areas on the streets specified in section 12-1005, except that such prohibitions shall not apply during church hours on Sunday on portions of the streets adjacent to churches where parking will not unduly interfere with the safe flow of traffic thereon, the determination thereof to be by the chief of police, who shall cause such areas to be marked by signs permitting parking during such hours.
